Field Trip: Tide Pooling at Fitzgerald Marine Preserve

Join us for beach play and tide pool exploration! There is no cost for this field trip.

What to expect

We will meet at 3pm, next to the bathrooms and ranger station at the parking lot. We will walk together down to the beach and tide pools. It's a short, beautiful hike (less than .5 miles) but does include two flights of stairs down to the beach. The tide will be lowest closer to 5pm, but we should be able to explore some areas right away. Let's see if we an spy some of the creatures we have been singing about!

Bring

Water shoes or rain boots are helpful for walking on the rocks. If the weather is warm, a bathing suit. Favorite sand toys for playing on the beach! Don't forget a change of clothes, a towel, and snacks for a dry and comfortable ride home.
